Price comparison sites foster competition between training schools. Training schools know that potential customers will be receiving quotes from their competitors, it almost forces them to be competitive by default. Contrary to all the experts who regularly take to the airwaves and blogs to call for “price caps”, competition is the only method that has ever worked to lower prices.

Whilst we would never recommend choosing a provider based solely on price, for most people, especially in these tough financial times, it will naturally be a significant factor in who they choose.

On this site we have taken the decision to make the bids private so that one Training School cannot see what another has quoted. Our thinking is that if Training Schools can see each others bid, they may undercut each other by as little as £5. We want to make this site a success by asking Training Schools to provide their best quote possible.

Entering your details into one site compared to entering them into over 20 will result in significant time savings.

In September of 2023, we performed an experiment. We requested a price for a new driver to be training up to Class 1 level. We called 40 training schools across the country, the average time on the phone to each school 6:42 seconds. A total of almost 5 hours continuously on the phones to training schools.

We repeated the same experiment on our site, it took us 80 seconds to enter all of our details, over the next hour we received 34 responses from local training providers. Fully itemised quotes with everything that we being offered.

When you give us your information, we only reveal the information that Training Schools require to produce a quote. We do not give them, your name, your address, your phone number or your email address. Only the Training School that you select will receive your details.

If you compare that to ringing 40 different Training Schools and giving each of them your contact data, the risks of being spammed, constant cold calls are going to be elevated. All of these dangers are bypassed when you use our service.

We promise that we will not send you any marketing data ourselves, nor will we pass your details to third parties to contact you.

Our system is built so that only users involved in a transaction on our system can leave reviews. What this means is that the driver leaving the review was verified as a previous user and bought their training package through our site.

Compare this to mainstream review sites where the origins of the reviewer are unknown, this is a problem when training schools receive suspiciously positive or untraceable negative reviews. Mainstream review sites seem ok, but once you know how they work, you wouldn’t trust them either way.
