We are independent of any HGV Training provider, we not own any HGV's or have any shares in any company that does.
We don't consider ourselves a broker site, we prefer to think of ourselves as a intermediary, connecting drivers with Training Schools and enabling them to be their own brokers. We not benefit if a driver chooses to train with one training school over another.

In the short time that we have been operational, we have handled over 500 quote request from drivers trying to source prices for their training. The figures are very provisional, but it gives us a good insight into how this site is performing.

More About Us And Our Network
Our company is called HGV Sites Ltd. We are based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and run several HGV related websites. Some of these other websites include HGV.co.uk, HGV.uk and Hgvtyres.uk.
We aim to be the number one HGV website in the UK. The place where anyone can go to find what they need for any issue related to HGV's. Fortunately, we have onboard some fantastic investors who share our vision.
In June of 2011, there were over 50 lenders willing to finance training courses. In June of 2021, there were zero finance providers for driver training in the UK. It is not always easy to provide one single reason for this, but most providers blamed tighter regulations and higher defaults of borrowers/drivers.
Either way, things have not been great for a while.
Who We Are Not
It's unfortunate that we need to start off like this, but it does need addressing as it causes us a lot of problems.
Unfortunately, we know another website with a similar name to ours, and they have encountered some awful reviews. The website HgvTraining.co.uk ran into financial difficulties at the start of 2020 and fell into administration. A significant number of people who had paid upfront for their training courses lost all of their money.
They were .co.uk, and we have just .uk at the end of our name. They are different websites, different people in charge and different owners. Unfortunately, some people confuse the two, and occasionally we get tarred with the same brush. It wasn't us, and we had no relationship with that website or the people involved. We've never met them.
We don't know what happened, there are reviews online, and that is all that we know. It's something that we don't want to get involved in.
HGV Sites Ltd
Our company has only recently been formed, and we officially started trading in late 2021. It took us a year to launch the website.
The owners are a mixture of people who all bring different skills to the business. Our management team comprises one with experience in financial services, two with experience in HGV Training and one with a background in heavy logistics. We believe we have the right expertise to build and grow the business into the market leader.
What's Next For Us? Where Do We Go From Here?
This site (HgvTraining.uk) is the first in the series of websites to be rolled out. But then we have more exciting projects in front of us - Hgv.uk is next. We own Hgv.co.uk and Hgv.uk, but we have decided to launch on the newer, shorter domain extension for that project. We don't want to give too much away but what we have planned is big. Launching in late 2023, it should change how a significant portion of the heavy haulage industry works.
